October TBR’s (To Be Reads)

Happy October Everyone.

I hope you are enjoying the Autumn air, the leaves falling and of course the PSL (Pumpkin Spice Lattes). It’s finally getting a little bit cooler here in Northern California, not sweater wearing cool but cool enough to sleep comfortably without blasting the air conditioner.

Do you have any fall reads? I love reading books during the Halloween season, some more spookier than others. Since I barely made a dent in last months TBR list, I went a bit more reasonable this time around because I know this is a crazy busy month for me.  I have chosen three books to read this month and hopefully, I will reach if not surpass that goal.

The first on my list is “This Savage Song” by Victoria Schwab.  [amazon_link asins=’0062380850′ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’LaurieCarta-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’5a313510-a73c-11e7-bd0c-7be8f9186756′]  I am actually almost halfway through this book and I am enjoying it immensely. It’s the first book in the Monsters of Verity duology. I am sure by the end of the month I will have the second book “Our Dark Duet” already on it’s way to me.

I will be writing a book review on this book later this month. I hope you all pick it up and get to know Kate and August.

The second book on my list is “House of Leaves” by Mark Z. Danielewski [amazon_link asins=’0375703764′ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’LaurieCarta-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’72f16470-a73f-11e7-b012-9d54d01ae101′]

I am so excited to read this book. What a fantastic format. If you like reading things that are presented in a unique way. You really should check out this book.

And lastly on my October TBR list is: “Ghost in the Pages” by Angela M. Hudson.  I just fell in love with the cover when I saw it in the book store. I can’t wait to stick my face into this book either.

These are the books I am hoping to get read this month. What are yours? Leave a message in the comments and let me know.

Cheers,

Laurie
